I feel I have made a good amount of progress on my idea but need to add more like my target audience, storyboard, locations, themes and some video examples to fully understand how I would make it work and to get the story to work well using the videos to help with my filming and editing techniques. I also still need to work on the costumes and work on what to do for the ending weather to cut it to black at the end or to end as a jump scare or to end it as you can only see what behind him than it ends. I still need to do some more research to expand my future ideas and could help me peace some more things together for my short film. I feel like I am a little behind with doing the work but plan to catch up mon the weekend. To develop my pitch I feel like I would need to make a PowerPoint with image examples so i can show what i want it too look like as i feel i wont be as good trying to explain it.

I feel like I've done some good progress I've don't some of a shot list but mainly focused on my powerpoint brife. what I need to work on next is finishing the shot list and making a script. for my research I need to figure out if people prefer human killer or a ghost killer. I feel like I'm still on track with everything.
25/04/22
I have done some storyboards and done my presentation I need to do test shoot and figure out what the killer should look like and if its a ghost or killer I also need to write a script. So far I have enough on a storyboard to do my test shoot for the scene I just need to make sure its not over 5 mins.

Got some feedback and decided my shot list was too long so tomorrow I plan to take picture and do a story board with that instead of doing a test shoot than get some feed back and film on the weekend after doing a bit more research.

I feel like everything went well while recording I haven't had the chance to have a look at the footage yet but will when when I start editing it. My next steps are to edit my clips together and make sure my cuts look good and edit the audio i have recorded and make it look good. while recording some of the challenges was trying not to be seen in the windows as I was recording my actor as my house has a lot of windows in the kitchen and dining room. There was also a lot of things in the way to get some shots like the dining table a way I dealt with this was standing on the of the chairs to see if that was a good angle I thought it looked good so I recorded in that angle. When I have finished editing if I finish early I would show it to my target audience and see if I have done it effectively.

I have started to edit and cutting down the clips to try and make sure they run smoothly and I'm now thinking about the sound I could use for this I also need to upload some more thing to my Weebly to show planning and do a bit of sound research. My proposal isnt done yet so i need to make sure thats finished very soon. so far i should be on track to finish my project on time.

I've started editing and its ready for the sound effect to be added as I've cleaned up some of the transitions and made some of the box scenes a bit darker to suttley put the audience on edge and make them a bit nervous I plan to next put in the sound effects after doing some research about how to use the sound effect effectively by looking at other horror films to help shape my sound track and sound effects for my short film. I have gotten some people to look at my work and they like the build up and think its going at a good pace. I understand my context because I am getting to know all the key things i need in my horror to make it work. I am also looking at some different horrors that arnt just based round text messages to see how different the sound track is and then decide which sound track would be better to use. I am continuing to stretch myself by making some clips darker to add more effect and listening to horror sound tracks

I have started to add in the sound track for my edit and planning to add in more in the next few days and touch up my Weebly as well and do the evaluation. some of my feed back is that people wanted to see a better shot of what was in the box as well was the usb but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to make another clip and people wanted more of a horror sound track which I am adding in now. I have developed a lot of knowledge about horrors because of listening to shot films and listening to there sound tracks help me figure out what to add to mine.

This is my video some of the things that changed the most in this was the plot all I knew was I wanted my character to clean and a usb would keep appearing , the ending was changed quite a lot it was going to be still images of him getting up and something is behind him on the usb however I thought its wouldn't be a good ending as it wouldn't leave the audience on edge as much and thought it would be better if it was text messages to make it more mysterious, I also couldnt decide what it should be that will be haunting him and my viewers both had mixed reactions about deciding on one so i thought it would be better to do the text messages so the audience could imagine what it is in there own head and everyone will end up liking it because of the mystery.
This week I had finished off my edit I had decided to make the last 2 clips in slow-motion as in normal speed I felt like they where too quick and I felt like it wasn't too obvious that it was in slow motion and I feel like it worked quite well. I had also started too look at how to do credits and in this video i had learned now to roll my credits making it look a b it better than still credits however what i need to improve on next time is how I word my credits professionally so it can look more professional for the future and than I could learn more and make it look even better.
I felt like this went alright the one bit I would re do is the cleaning scene as it just doesn't look right especially as the rest of my film looks more smoother another thing I would redo is my directing as I told my actor to stop and start while I changed the angle which made me a bit stuck as if a clip did turn out well I still had to use that clip, what I would do next time is film my actor doing what he's doing and film the same thing from different angles over and over again so if a clip didn't work i would have another one available to use. Another thing that didn't go to well was I felt as if my actor wasn't moving fast enough in some scenes so next time i would get my actor to film the scene at his pace than film it again at my pace so than i would have two different speed options to choose from and use when I feel things need to go quicker or slower. Another problem was that once i started editing there was some shots I wanted to re shoot but i ended up not being able to as my parents had changed the kitchen quite a lot so next time I would look at the clips before handing my camera back and if i hand my camera back and still not like some clips I would re book the camera for the closest day i can before too much can move/change in my house.
Some of the key things I have learnt is how important the planning is and if its not fully well planned it wont go so smoothly as I had done some research but next time I would have don't more research for horror because i focused too much on texting horrors that i missed out some important bits that could have made my short film better from the inspiration of normal horrors. Another key thing i learnt is how important audience feedback is because a lot of the time they will notice things that I didn't even think about or realise was there which will than help to make it better and to fix any mistakes or misunderstandings.
the main things I had to change in my short film was pace and some camera shots. My pace when first editing was too slow as it was about 6 minuets and some of the cleaning scenes dragged on for too long and got a little boring for my audience so i had cut out some cleaning clips to make the pace a bit quicker, and with opening the box i had cut some shots shorter was it was too long and while it was quicker it still did build some tension that i wanted. Another thing i had to change was i had put tense music whenever my actor had the box however soon realised that the tension isn't the box or usb the tension was seeing what was on it and the tension build wasn't going to have anything after so I felt like there wasn't any need for it, After I changed that and put my tension music at the end I felt like it didn't feel much like a horror so I had decided to add some suttle creepy music to play through out the short film so that when people watch it, it makes them feel like its a horror a bit more. the other thing I had to change was camera shots and the main ones i needed ended up being too chort to the text message clip and the holding phone clip all had to be in slow-motion as the clips wasnt long enough in the position i wanted it in.
